Big Daddy Hydrangea is part of the Southern Living Plant Collection and can be easily grown in hot, humid summers. It produces huge 12-14 inch blooms which can be either pink or blue depending on the soil ph and last summer to fall. The blooms are perfect for flower arrangements. When planting this Hydrangea, dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil, then leave the top of the root ball 1/2 inch above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow release granular fertilizer in spring. This plant will ship dormant in winter and is not guaranteed to be in bloom on arrival.
