Secrets Of Success: Everything We Need to Succeed is Within Us

The purpose of this book is to inspire people to change their self-limiting thoughts, conquer their fears and achieve greatness. My personal life journey has been most amazing, rich and extreme, from poverty to abundance, and back and forth. I have been an entrepreneur, a development worker, a monk, and an academic. As an entrepreneur, I have failed several times, but I have also built several successful businesses on three continents. As a development worker, I have served millions of poor people. As a monk, I have been on a deep spiritual journey of self-actualisation that has lasted decades. As an academic, I have obtained a PhD in performance management, written books, and built a higher education institution that provided education to 200,000 students from 190 countries. I have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, scuba dived, parachuted, flown a helicopter, and travelled to 80 countries. I have been truly blessed. I have written this book to share the secrets of success I discovered on my own life journey. Early in life, I learnt that success does not come about by chance. It is built up by good actions over a long period. Our actions are informed by our thoughts and values. I have learnt that everything we need to achieve our dreams is within us. Each one of us has greatness, special talent, and inner genius capable of creating miracles in the external world. Unfortunately, this greatness can be blocked by our fears and self-limiting beliefs – like, for example, ‘I am not intelligent’, ‘I will never be rich’, ‘I am not beautiful’, and ‘I do not deserve a loving relationship’. The majority of human beings use less than 10% of their potential. To unleash our inner power, we need to change our self-limiting beliefs and conquer our fears. The enemy is within, not outside. Thoughts rule the world. What we think we become. If we think small, we become small. If we think big, we become big. When we change our thoughts, we change ourselves, and we change our world.
